The View Reaches a New Low

Cross-post from The World...IMHO

I thought I had seen it all when Rosie was on The View, but this is a whole new low in ignorance.

Saints were psychotic and advances in modern medicine have essentially wiped them off the planet. That's "the view" of comedian Joy Behar, as expressed on national television Wednesday.

Whether or not Behar was joking, "The View" co-host's remarks sparked a loud debate on and off the program.

Behar got things started by saying: "I have a theory that you can’t find any saints anymore because of psychotropic medication. I think that [in] the old days, the saints were hearing voices and they didn’t have any Thorazine to calm them down. And what medical school did you attend?

"Now that we have all of this medication available to us, you can’t find a saint anymore," she said on ABC's daily chatfest. Oh shucks...we'll have to tell St. Jude, St.Terese, St. Joseph and St. Michael and all the other saints that their services won't be required any more.

If Joy really believes this nonsense she's espousing, maybe she's the one who needs some medication :)

UPDATE:

Catholic League president Bill Donohue will appear

January 10, 7pm ET (replays at 9pm and midnight)

on the CNN Headline News Channel program "Glenn Beck"

to discuss Joy Behar’s comments on “The View.”

He will also be appearing on Friday, January 11 at 6:30am ET

on the Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" to discuss the same topic.

LOL! I can't help it! This is unbelievably idiotic.

I love it! These Hollywood celebrities (think they) are experts in all areas, that's for sure. :)

Mother Teresa, pray for Joy Behar that her eyes may be opened and she may know the truth. Amen.
