Wow, thank you very much for posting this. I was just wondering today if there are any recent Catholic equivalents of all the famous Jewish movies like those of Spielberg et al. I thought not because Hollywood is run by Jews, but this appears to be an exception.

Here is the website for it: http://www.cristiadafilm.com/

It doesn't have a release date on IMDB.

This one has a definite release date, though:
A movie about St. JosemarĂa Escrivá (†1975): There Be Dragons (Release: May 6, 2011): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1316616/

This movie idea was stolen from two aspiring film makers...don't trust the corrupt Andy Garcia and the producers of this film. They are thieves. Watch our films that inspired the script and decide for yourself who was the first to show the world the fight of the faithful.

@ Marc Kropfl & Roberto Gomez - Thanks for posting the link to your site. The interviews are extremely interesting. Regardless of the source for the movie, I'm curious what has led to its release being delayed so much. It was supposed to have a 2011 release. It's 2012 and it's still not out and the trailer looks like they're invested quite a bit of time/money into it.

My greatgrandfather was killed for this cause. He was hung in "la plaza" for one week before my greatgrandmother was allowed to take his body and give him proper burial as a means of intimidation to anyone who dared defy the "law." It was horrible because the general who executed him was his "compadre" and the priest who set him up was his "compadre" too.

There's finally a release date for this movie: April 20, 2012, according to CristiadaPelicula.com!

Interestingly, the IMDB page of this movie calls it movie For Greater Glory and says it'll be in theaters June 1…

I figured it out. Cristiada is the foreign title, and it releases overseas this April 20.

The U.S. title is For Greater Glory, and it releases June 1.
